Information we handle

Information stored on your device

The game stores colony progress, settings, onboarding state, and other information needed to resume play. This local information remains on the device unless an online feature sends an eligible part of it to a service described below. Removing the app or clearing its storage can remove local information.

Account and cloud information

When online account features are available, the game may create a Unity Authentication player account. It may process a Unity player identifier, account-link status, and—if you choose to link Google Play Games—a Google Play Games player identifier and the information needed to complete that link. One-time authorization codes and service tokens are used transiently and are not intended for game saves, analytics, or support logs.

If you use cloud recovery or synchronization, we may process eligible colony progression, gameplay settings, revision history, synchronization operations, and timestamps needed to validate and reconcile that progress. Device-only preferences and transient world presentation are not intended to become part of the authoritative cloud colony.

Gameplay, diagnostics, and analytics

When these services are enabled, we may process gameplay events, feature use, progression milestones, app and configuration versions, platform or device characteristics, service results, crash or reliability diagnostics, and coarse regional information supplied by a service provider. We use privacy-minimal events intended to answer defined product and reliability questions rather than to build an advertising profile.

Purchases, ads, and rewards

If commercial features are available and you choose to use them, we may process product identifiers, purchase status and receipts, entitlement and restoration status, optional rewarded-ad results, consent status, reward-claim identifiers, and counters needed to prevent duplicate or invalid grants. Google Play processes payment details; Sprucelight Studios does not receive your full payment-card number.

Support communications

If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, one-time authorization codes, access tokens, payment-card numbers, or other secrets.

Technical information handled by providers

Our hosting, platform, security, and other service providers may automatically process network information such as an IP address, request time, device or browser characteristics, and security logs to deliver and protect their services. This policy page itself contains no scripts, analytics, advertising, cookies, forms, or external font requests, and its web server does not keep an access log for ordinary page requests.

How we use information

• Provide local play, account linking, cloud recovery, and synchronization.
• Validate elapsed time, progression, rewards, purchases, and entitlements.
• Restore purchases and prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or impossible grants.
• Operate optional ads, notifications, and other features you choose to use.
• Understand onboarding, balance, feature use, reliability, and service failures.
• Respond to support, privacy, access, and deletion requests.
• Protect players and services, enforce terms, and meet legal obligations.

When information is shared

We share information only as needed for the purposes above, including with these categories of recipients:

• Unity Technologies for Authentication, Cloud Code, Cloud Save, Remote Config, Analytics, and related game services when enabled.
• Google for Google Play Games linking, Google Play distribution, purchases, restoration, platform security, and related Android services.
• Advertising or reward providers when you choose an optional ad-supported feature. The applicable provider will be identified here before that feature is released.
• Infrastructure and professional service providers that host, secure, diagnose, or support the game and its services under appropriate restrictions.
• Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We do not allow ordinary local colony progress to establish premium currency, purchase entitlements, or validated reward claims without server-side checks.

International processing

Providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. Privacy protections and lawful-access rules can differ by country. We use established providers and limit the information sent to what is needed for the relevant feature.

Retention and deletion

Local game information remains until it is removed through the game, Android settings, or app uninstallation, subject to Android or device backup behaviour. Cloud account and gameplay information is kept while needed to provide recovery and synchronization, protect service integrity, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Diagnostic and analytics information is retained only for the period needed for product, security, and reliability purposes under our configuration and provider controls. Transaction records may be retained longer where accounting, fraud-prevention, tax, or consumer-protection rules require it.

When information is deleted, some copies may remain temporarily in protected backups or legal records until their normal retention period ends. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify a player.

Your choices and rights

• You may continue ordinary local play when optional online services are unavailable, subject to the game’s synchronization-safety limits.
• You choose whether to link Google Play Games, enable optional notifications, view a rewarded ad, or make a purchase.
• You can use device and Google Play controls for permissions, purchases, advertising choices, and app storage.
• You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with a verifiable account, subject to applicable law.
• You may contact us with a privacy complaint or question. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy regulator.

Security

We use measures appropriate to the information and service, including encrypted network connections, access controls, restricted credentials, data minimization, provider-side validation for premium or rewarded value, and separation between ordinary colony progress and premium authority. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the game’s data practices, providers, or legal obligations materially change. The effective and last-updated dates above show the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the game or store listing when appropriate.
